Prioritization
of (potential) tallgrass prairie for management (either maintenance or
restoration). Maintenance rankings apply to reporting units with habitat
quality ratings of good or very good, while restoration rankings apply to
reporting units with habitat quality of fair or poor. Maintenance rankings
are based on local scale ecological integrity, degree of threats faced,
opportunities for management, and landscape level ecological integrity.
Restoration rankings consider the same components, except for threat
rankings, as these units are already degraded. For many indicators, rankings
are based on the range of values across the geography, and sorted by
quantile. For more information: http://edwardstogulflcd.wp.txstate.edu/documents/
