Description:

These data represent federal fire occurrence data for the time period 1980 through 2016 from multiple federal agencies including: BIA, BLM, BOR, USFS, FWS and NPS. These data are derived from wildland fire occurrence reports:

  • Wildland Fire Management Information Systems (BIA, BLM, NPS)
  • FMIS - FIre Management Information Systems (FWS)
  • FIRESTAT - Fire Statics Systems (USFS)


Users of these data should use caution that the accuracy of the latitude/longitude coordinates or the fire occurence reports have not been verified.
